About

About and methodology

PoweredAcre is a cited directory of data center campuses, utilities and county-level powered-land conditions, operated by ClearLaneAI LLC.

What PoweredAcre is

The directory compiles zoning, power and transmission, incentives, water, fiber and local sentiment for counties where data centers are proposed or built. It is written for developers, land brokers, landowners, utilities, economic developers and site selectors who need a fast, sourced starting point.

Paid products build on the same approach: the Quick Screen, Full Site Brief and County Watch apply it to a specific parcel or county.

Methodology

Public sources only

Facts come from utility filings, state commission dockets, county ordinances and economic development sites, operator websites, and reputable trade and advocacy publications. Advocacy sources are attributed by name so readers can weigh them.

Citation policy

Every fact carries at least one numbered citation that links to its entry in the page’s Sources list, which records the publisher and the date the link was checked. The site will not build if a fact lacks a source or cites one that does not exist.

No invented numbers

Figures are reproduced as published. Nothing is estimated, interpolated or rounded beyond the source. Projections are labeled as projections.

Review cadence

Each page shows the date it was last reviewed. Pages are revisited on a recurring schedule and when material filings or rezonings come to our attention.

How gaps are flagged

Each county page ends with a Known gaps section listing what has not been reviewed or could not be confirmed, such as service-territory boundaries or interconnection queue positions.

Corrections

If a fact is wrong or out of date, send the correction with a supporting public source.

For example, Culpeper County, VA.
